About the NW Region
DBIANW's educational program year runs from September through June, with monthly topical programs dealing with Design-Build issues such as Transportation, Water/Waste Water, Sustainability, and Energy Efficient/High Performance Buildings.
Nominations for Distinguished Leadership and Brunelleschi Awards Open
DBIA is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Brunelleschi Lifetime Achievement Award and the Distinguished Design-Build Leadership Awards. The Brunelleschi Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor DBIA bestows and presented to an individual who has made significant contributions to the industry through outstanding leadership and the advancement of design-build. Past winners include Rik Kunnath, P.E., DBIA; Craig Unger, DBIA; and Michael C. Loulakis, Esq., DBIA. Distinguished Design-Build Leadership Awards are given to leaders who advocate for and promote the merits of Design-Build Done Right in six different categories: owner, industry professional, legislator, academic faculty, students and young professionals. Specific attention should be focused on the nominee’s efforts and achievements in furthering the understanding and use of design-build as an effective and efficient delivery method. 2016 Educator Workshop Scholarship Applications
Specifically tailored for educators, DBIA’s Design-Build Educator Workshop not only teaches university faculty the key elements and value of design-build, but also how to incorporate design-build best practices into new and existing curriculum. The workshop will be held from Aug. 8-11, 2016 at the University of Denver; applications will be accepted until June 15, 2016. Application and workshop details available here. 2016 DBIA National Education Schedule and Format Changes Announced; Region Owner Scholarship
In 2016, DBIA National will be once again streamlining their Certification education. Certification Workshops will now be 3 days and University Boot Camps will be 4 days. Our attendees can now get 5 days of education with only 3 or 4 days away from the office. Download the 2016 Education and Training Brochure.
Regions that have a minimum of 10 practitioner registrations in a workshop in their area may grant up to two complimentary Owner scholarship registrations. Please complete and submit this Region Owner Scholarship form.
