Washington State University, Spokane Washington has begun one of the first graduate level programs focusing on design build.  The program offers a Masters Degree of Science in Architecture with an Emphasis in Design Build Management.

The Program has been developed for working professionals with weekend, evening and video classes available and is lead by Darlene Septelka, Associate Professor at WSU Spokane.

In 2000,  WSU started a DBIA Student Region for student participation in design build,  The student chapter looks to industry to help support the financial goals of the chapter and also for inclusion of students into design build events in the 4 state region.
